We are seeking candidates with hands on experience performing nuclear and optical imaging studies involving mainly, but not limited to, rodent models of disease or ex vivo samples.

Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Imaging Scientist at the Scientist II level to join our Immunology Department. The successful candidate, with a demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment, will work to develop and support small animal imaging projects in Immunology.

We work at the interface between engineering and biology, and the successful applicant will work hands-on with optical and SPECT/CT platforms as well as microscopy instruments and play a key role in optimizing and implementing multiplexed imaging protocols.  This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in in vivo and ex vivo imaging techniques who is eager to contribute to the development and application of multi-modal imaging technologies to provide information to enable strategic decisions for Immunology portfolio.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Biomedical Imaging, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related fields. Are also open to PhD candidates
  • Performs nuclear and optical imaging studies involving mainly, but not limited to, rodent models of disease or ex vivo samples.
  • Develops, optimizes and implements nuclear imaging (SPECT/CT and radiometric assays) and optical (BLI/FLI) image acquisition and analysis protocols tailored to each study.
  • Performs ex vivo procedures such as tissue fixation, sectioning, histology, and optical microscopy.
  • Experience with animal handling; injections, anesthesia, drug administration, and necropsy.
  • In addition to educational requirement, minimum 2 years of experience in preclinical animal (rodent) imaging research, with focus on optical and nuclear pre-clinical imaging acquisition and analysis would be desired.
  • Working with hazardous chemical, biological or radiological materials.
  • Knowledge and understanding of statistical analysis
